The Charity Law Association (CLA) was established in 1992. The aim of the CLA is to enable those who advise on, or use, charity law, to meet together, to exchange ideas and intelligence and to use their experience and expertise for the benefit of the charity sector.
The CLA is not a charity, nor does it provide pro bono advice.
Over 885 members
The CLA currently has over 885 members, including many of the country’s largest charities and most leading charity lawyers. Members are able to attend quarterly members meetings at which topical charity law and related issues are presented and discussed.
Reduced rates for members
CLA membership also allows members to sign up to LMSC (Legislation Monitoring Service for Charities) at reduced rates.
The main CLA event per year is the annual conference.
The CLA is governed by a constitution and is administered by an executive committee.
