At present, the Bill does not place any time constraint on the Charity Commission’s new power to enter premises under warrant. It cannot be in the interests of justice for the Commission to have such a power indefinitely; amendment 132 would oblige the Commission to exercise its power of entry within 7 days of issue of the warrant.
